Wondering if anyone has done the routines in Mark Verstegen’s books? What’s your opinion?
Skipped the update on day 3, but it was basically the same as day 2.
No fiber drink today, which I’ve been thankful for. Have gradually felt my energy level improving, and while I’ve avoided the scale I know I’ve lost some fat too. All in all, happy so far.
Running into one problem though…what the hell to eat every 3 hours! I’m avoiding everything that’s recommended, but grown weary of what’s available. That happened on day 3.
I’ve eaten the proteins just fine, but there seems to be an issue finding enough fruits and vegetables that I can stand to consume that often. Work in progress.
Body is much happier with the intake today, but my digestive system is making some unpleasant sounds. Kind of like a muffled scream.
Haven’t posted in a while…just been feeling run down, plus have had to concentrate on getting my office running well.
After many attempts to convince me, I finally gave in and started the Advocare 24 day challenge today. The initial cleanse phase is underway officially, and I already am not a fan. Not used to drinking that much fluid first thing in the morning.
We’ll see what the end result is. All the friends that have done it, swear it will be worth it. If I can sleep better and not wear out during my workouts so easily I’ll be happy.
So for the few follwers I have…I had a rollover accident 4 weeks ago today. Head injury and broken ribs, and feeling quite lucky and blessed to be alive.
Really makes you realize what you have to be thankful for!
Good thing is, couldn’t eat anything for a while, and managed to drop about 10 pounds. Bad news, couldn’t really exercise either. I’m finally at a point where I can walk at a good pace without any issues. Tried some stretches the other day, and I’m not there yet. Maybe another week or two.
No scars, full recovery anticipated, and still here to be a Dad to my kids!

Reblog if you’re a weight loss blog and you’re over 20. Everyone in the tumblr old folks home should have a friend to jazzercise with!
I decided to make a magical graphic for everyone to reblog because it seems like there are a lot of us out there but we often have trouble finding each other and gaining support. Reblog, follow, and make friends! <3
:) Well above 20 here!!!
So I have purposely not been going near a scale on a regular basis. I know that this is a process and the scale is not a good indicator of progress. While I have lost some lbs since I started, overall health and fitness is what I’m striving for.
I weighed yesterday morning, and actually put on a 1/2 pound since the last weigh-in on 7/28 (still down 9 overall.) Last night I measured, first time since 7/13 when I started this. Total change is just under 5 inches! My clothes are fitting better, and my endurance and strength are improving.
Just have to keep reminding myself that I didn’t get out of shape in a few weeks, so I won’t fix it that fast either.
